WT Business Mentoring and Coaching, Christchurch is the result of 25+ years small business and corporate experience in NZ and international business. During this time it became apparent that new managers needed more, more than opportunity, new managers were asking for \ coaching and mentoring, to be supported on the job and to add outside experience. This led to the beginning of ideas for the WT approach.  Starting with additional qualifications, then 9 years practice in business leadership training, Coaching and Mentoring, WT then developed further by combining combined 3 distinct working experiences;

• •  Business Management – multi discipline experiences and knowledge in different roles and business cultures to offer;
    • The Mechanics of operating a business – structure, process,  finance, etc.
  •  Technical (Engineering and Construction)  – strong analytical solution capabilities offer;
    • The Tools to analyse and make good decisions. 
  • Business Coaching / Business Mentoring – Business Coach / Business Mentor trained – people development, collaboration & engagement to offer;
    • Building an engaging working environment by understanding people)

Using these collective skills the WT approach was first piloted as a personal offering to new managers in the corporate world then latter as part of new business leadership management training in Australia. That led to further qualifications and training in understanding and engaging people. This was added to when assisting in the not-for-profit sector. Those skills were bought to NZ and further adjusted to NZ business culture, especially small, medium sized and family run businesses.

The WT approach has been further developed with more practical business aids, adding Business Tools and Business Decision making.

WT now has a breath of experiences, skills and tools which can provide a unique overview to business and managers. We can now more easily help determine direction, purpose and determine the specific skills to train, support and strengthen you “from the side”.

About Warren – The Experienced Business Mentor & Coach

After a long career with Goughs NZ then Caterpillar USA, firstly as a trained engineer, then as a senior manager, he fulfilled multiple leadership and development roles in, Asia, Australia Europe and USA over a period of 24 years. During this period Warren worked with dealers developing new teams process and operation systems  in Singapore and Jakarta and then internationally with Caterpillar USA managing global product introductions, then from Germany: design, International contracts,construction and IT, then from USA: environmental compliance, marketing and advocacy projects and new developments to senior Corporate Executives and Pacific Island Governments.

Warren then established his own advisory consultancy in Melbourne, in Management and Leadership studies while further studying and gaining additional Coaching / Mentoring qualifications and later in NZ,  Directorship qualifications.

Family brought Warren and his business back to his Canterbury roots. Since his return in 2015, he has been engaged remotely for projects in Australia and for 12 months by the Canterbury Employers’ Chamber of Commerce, for NZ Trade & Enterprise, Callaghan and Business Mentors. He now focuses on strengthening and supporting start-ups, small and medium sized companies and senior owners and executives. Warren also works with and serves on local boards.
